Buellton, CA – According to KEYT, on the morning of Friday, April 5, 2024, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department (SBCFD) responded to a single-vehicle crash that occurred just off Highway 101 southbound in the Nojoqui area around 8:57 AM.

The vehicle carried four passengers, including a 20-year-old woman who sustained minor injuries and required immediate medical attention. She received transportation to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment, according to the latest updates from SBCFD officials.

Investigators are still determining what factors may have led to this crash. This is a developing story.

Liability in Solo-Vehicle Collisions

In some circumstances, investigations can reveal that some portion of the liability for a solo-vehicle collision might fall upon other drivers in the vicinity of the accident or even unsafe roadway structures. Working through the particulars of liability to help victims and their families find proper compensation is one of the many services a personal injury attorney can provide.

Once liability has been established, a personal injury attorney can also negotiate on behalf of the victim with insurance companies, who will always seek to minimize the payout for any claim they cannot deny.
