A man tragically lost his life in a fatal semi-truck accident that occurred at a Hanford intersection. According to information from Your Central Valley, the crash happened around 7:48 p.m. at the intersection of 12 3/4 Avenue and Douglas Avenue in Kings County on the night of April 24, 2024.
The accident, according to California Highway Patrol officers who arrived on scene, happened during night hours and involved two vehicles – identified as a semi-truck and a Silverado pickup truck. At the time, both vehicles were headed through the intersection when they collided with each other due to reasons that are still being investigated.
When paramedics arrived on scene, the driver of the Silverado was tragically pronounced deceased. He was identified only as a man in his 60s. The driver of the truck remained on scene and was not hurt.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
