San Martin, CA – A pedestrian tragically lost their life in a collision early Tuesday morning, April 22, 2024, as reported by NBC Bay Area.
The victim, a 56-year-old man from Gilroy, was attempting to cross Monterey Road from east to west when he was struck by a Ford Windstar driven by a 55-year-old man from Windsor, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim may have walked into the path of the Ford before being fatally struck. Investigations have revealed that drugs or alcohol are not believed to have played a role in the crash.
