Bakersfield, CA – A serious rollover crash on Interstate 5 near Buttonwillow Drive left at least one person with significant injuries on the morning of Friday, March 29, 2024, according to KGET.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the crash was first reported at approximately 10:12 AM in the southbound lanes near the Buttonwillow Drive offramp. A sedan involved in the crash rolled over and came to rest off the roadway, resulting in one individual being ejected from the vehicle and sustaining a head injury.
Emergency responders, including a medical helicopter, quickly arrived at the scene to provide immediate assistance. The injured individual was airlifted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
At this time, the cause of the crash and the full extent of injuries sustained by those involved remain unknown.
