Napa County, CA – A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, October 27, 2024, while traveling eastbound on Highway 12, according to CBS13.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident occurred around 3:20 AM as the driver was leaving Napa, headed toward Interstate 80.
CHP investigators reported that the driver veered off the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn. The impact resulted in severe injuries, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary findings suggest that speed and alcohol may have played a role in the crash. CHP officers continue to investigate and are working to determine additional details surrounding the incident.
Liability in Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. A personal injury attorney plays a critical role in sorting through these details to help victims and their families get the compensation they deserve.
Once liability is determined, the attorney can negotiate with insurance companies, who often try to reduce payouts. That means having legal representation can be vital to ensure victims receive fair compensation for their loss.
