Fairfield, CA — In the early hours of Thursday, October 29, 2026, a 37-year-old motorcycle rider lost his life in a single-vehicle collision, according to KCRA.

The California Highway Patrol’s Solano office first received reports of the fatal accident at 4:22 AM. By 4:27 AM, officers arrived at the crash site on the westbound Interstate 80 on-ramp from Manuel Campos Parkway in a residential area of northern Fairfield.

Emergency responders found the motorcyclist unconscious and breathing shallowly. Despite lifesaving efforts from the Fairfield Fire Department, the motorcyclist was declared deceased at 4:36 AM.

Preliminary investigations suggest the motorcyclist attempted to enter the on-ramp at an excessive speed and failed to navigate the turn.

A spokesperson from CHP Solano extended their condolences to the motorcyclist’s loved ones. The deceased will be identified pending notification of his next of kin.

Single-Vehicle Accidents in California and Wrongful Death Claims

It cannot always be assumed that a motorist bears total responsibility in a single-vehicle collision. Even if their negligence contributed to the accident, if the negligence of other parties played a role, it may be possible to seek partial compensation through a wrongful death claim. A wrongful death claim can provide compensation for damages such as funeral expenses and the loss of support and companionship from the deceased.
