Bakersfield, CA – On Monday, February 12, 2024, a fatal two-vehicle collision on Highway I-5 near the Lergo Highway offramp claimed one life and hospitalized two more, according to KGET.
Investigations revealed that, around 3:30 AM, a 25-year-old San Francisco man driving south on I-5 collided with a Volvo big rig parked on the right shoulder. The impact killed the driver and injured his passengers, aged 24 and 26. They received transport to Kern Medical for treatment. Authorities believe alcohol to have played a factor.
