Bakersfield, CA – On the morning of Tuesday, August 11, 2026, a single-vehicle rollover collision left at least two people injured, according to KGET.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place just before 11:00 AM on westbound Highway 178 near Union Avenue.
Authorities said the driver lost control of the vehicle for reasons still under investigation, causing it to roll over and come to rest on its side along the right side of the roadway.
Several passersby reportedly stopped to assist. Two people were pulled from the vehicle. The extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.
Drivers were advised to expect delays while crews worked to clear the road. The investigation remains ongoing.
