One person sustained serious injuries in a semi-truck accident that happened in Fresno on Wednesday afternoon. The accident happened around 4:10 p.m. on Highway 99 on May 15, 2024, according to information provided by Your Central Valley.

When California Highway Patrol officers arrived on scene, they found that a pickup truck was stuck between two semi-trucks. A driver was traveling north on Highway 99 in a Ford pickup truck behind a semi-truck when both drivers stopped for heavy traffic in the area. A second semi behind the pickup truck did not stop in time for traffic, slamming into the pickup truck.

Due to the force of the collision, the pickup truck was stuck underneath the semi-truck in front of it. The driver was trapped and had to be extricated by emergency responders.

Police confirmed that the driver of the pickup truck was seriously injured. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment of major injuries. Nobody else sustained injuries in the collision.
