Fresno, CA – In the early morning hours of Friday, March 28, 2025, a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 99 caused significant traffic disruptions, according to KSEE.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred around 4:00 AM near Ashlan Avenue and Highway 99, involving six vehicles.

Authorities temporarily diverted southbound traffic at Ashlan Avenue as crews cleared debris from the roadway and ensured that all involved vehicles were safely removed. Motorists experienced delays in the area during the cleanup process. Officials confirmed that Highway 99 has since been fully reopened to traffic.

At this time, investigators have not determined the cause of the crash. It is unclear whether factors such as speeding, driver impairment, or adverse road conditions played a role. Authorities have also not released any information regarding possible injuries.

Drivers who witnessed the collision or have additional information are encouraged to contact the California Highway Patrol as the investigation continues.

Comparative Liability

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Liability rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a personal injury claim with the responsible party’s insurance.
