Two people were hurt in a rollover accident involving three vehicles in Madera on Wednesday morning. Your Central Valley confirmed that the accident took place on Avenue 17 around 10:53 a.m. on the morning of June 26, 2024.
California Highway Patrol arrived on scene to find that three vehicles were involved in a crash on Avenue 17 around the area of Avon Way. Their initial investigation found that the vehicles involved in the crash were a Chevrolet Camaro, a 2009 Honda, and a Nissan.
The driver of the Honda was headed east on Avenue 17 with a Camaro behind it and a Nissan traveling in the same direction. The Honda tried to pass the Nissan but the Camaro was unable to slow down in time, causing it to slam into the back of the Nissan. This caused the Nissan and Honda to collide with each other, causing the Nissan to overturn. The Camaro also overturned following the collision.
Several emergency responders, including local paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Honda and Camaro were both injured. They were hospitalized with moderate injuries, though their current conditions are not yet known.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
