Woodland, CA — On Monday evening, May 6, 2024, a single-vehicle rollover crash claimed the life of one person along Interstate 5 near Woodland, as reported by KCRA.
The incident unfolded on northbound I-5 close to County Road 103, with the initial reports reaching California Highway Patrol (CHP) at 6:33 PM. The vehicle, for reasons yet unknown, veered off the roadway and overturned, resulting in major injuries to the driver.
Despite the swift response from law enforcement officers who performed life-saving measures on-site, the driver succumbed to their injuries. Driver intoxication has not been ruled out as a potential factor in this fatal accident.
Liability in Solo-Vehicle Collisions
In some circumstances, investigations can reveal that some portion of the liability for a solo-vehicle collision might fall upon other drivers in the vicinity of the accident or even unsafe roadway structures. Working through the particulars of liability to help victims and their families find proper compensation is one of the many services a personal injury attorney can provide.
Once liability has been established, a personal injury attorney can also negotiate on behalf of the victim with insurance companies, who will always seek to minimize the payout for any claim they cannot deny.
