
Shafter, CA – On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 27, 2025, a two-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a school bus resulted in four people being hospitalized, according to KGET.
The Kern County Fire Department reports that the crash took place around 1:18 PM at the intersection of Wasco Avenue and Tulare Avenue, near Shafter.
Authorities say a yellow RAM pickup truck collided with a school bus carrying children. Four individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. Emergency personnel responded promptly to the scene and assessed all occupants of both vehicles.
Details about the cause of the collision have not yet been released, and the incident remains under investigation.
