The San Jose Police Department reports that the incident occurred around 9:23 PM near the intersection of Grand Boulevard and Los Esteros Road, in the vicinity of the Marsh View Trail Head.

In response, the officer discharged their firearm at the suspect, who fled the scene on foot. It is currently unknown whether the suspect was struck by gunfire.
The officer sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. As of now, the driver remains unidentified and at large.
The case remains under active investigation by both local law enforcement and federal authorities.
Personal Injury Claims
After a traffic accident, victims and their families often deal with unexpected financial burdens, such as medical bills, lost income, and, in the worst cases, burial costs. A Personal Injury Claim allows accident victims to hold the at-fault party financially responsible for their cost of care.
