Fresno, CA — A crash involving a black Honda parked on Highway 99 early Monday morning, November 25, 2024, left one person hospitalized, according to KSEE.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the collision occurred around 3 AM when a man driving on the highway struck the back of a black Honda stopped in the roadway. Authorities have not disclosed why the Honda was stopped in the middle of the freeway, and the incident remains under investigation.

The Honda’s driver, a woman, was transported to the hospital for treatment, though details about her condition have not been released. CHP reports that she was later found to be under the influence.

CHP reminds drivers to avoid driving under the influence and to pull off the road safely in the event of a vehicle issue. Investigators continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Personal Injury Claims

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Liability rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. A personal injury attorney can play a crucial role in helping victims establish legal responsibility after a traffic accident.

Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a personal injury claim with the responsible party’s insurance. This can provide compensation to help cover damages such as hospital bills and lost income during recovery.

If you or someone you love was harmed in an accident like the one described here, feel free to contact Maison Law for any questions or to receive a no-cost, no-obligation case assessment.
