Galt, CA – On the morning of Thursday, August 14, 2025, a man was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Galt, according to KCRA.

The Galt Police Department reports that the crash occurred at approximately 6:26 AM at the intersection of Ayers Lane and Carol Drive.

A pickup truck traveling at high speed allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and struck another vehicle that was turning in the intersection. The impact caused the pickup to become airborne and land on its side.

Officers arriving at the scene found a man who had been ejected from the pickup truck. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.

Stop Sign Laws

California Law requires drivers to come to a complete stop at a Stop sign (California Vehicle Code 22450). Drivers may only enter the intersection when it appears safe for all parties to do so (California Vehicle Code 21802).

Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a Personal Injury Claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
