Tulare County, CA – In the early hours of Friday, April 11, 2025, a head-on collision involving two off-road motorcycles resulted in the deaths of both riders, according to the KSEE.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident occurred around 12:38 AM on Market Street, just south of Court Avenue, in the Pixley area.

Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department were first on the scene and found both men deceased in the roadway.

According to investigators, the two men were riding off-road motorcycles toward each other on Market Street when they collided head-on. Neither rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the impact.

Authorities suspect alcohol consumption may have played a role in the collision. The incident remains under investigation as officials work to determine the precise cause and circumstances. The names of the deceased have not yet been released, pending notification of family members.

Wrongful Death Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility.  Should someone else be found even partly responsible for the death, the family may be able to file a Wrongful Death claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance. This can provide compensation to help cover medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of income to support the family of the deceased.
