Half Moon Bay, CA — State Highway 92 near Half Moon Bay was reopened on Saturday afternoon, May 25, 2024, following a two-vehicle collision that resulted in one person being hospitalized, according to NBC Bay Area News.
The crash occurred at Digges Canyon Road and was reported to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) at 10:05 AM, leading to the complete closure of the highway and causing significant traffic delays. Limited movement was later allowed through one-way traffic controls, helping to alleviate some of the congestion. All lanes were fully reopened shortly after noon.
As of now, the cause of the crash is still under investigation. CHP has not yet provided further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the collision or the condition of the hospitalized individual.
Personal Injury Claims
Establishing fault in a collision can depend on various factors, and the state of California allows for partial liability to be allocated to multiple parties. Helping to determine legal liability is one of the ways that a personal injury attorney can help victims as they are recovering from a traffic accident.
Suppose it is determined that the actions of another party contributed to their injuries. In that case, victims may be eligible to file a personal injury claim with the insurance provider of those at fault. A personal injury claim can provide compensation to help cover hospital fees, burial costs, and the loss of income due to time taken off work for recovery.
