Fresno, CA – A serious collision near East Barstow Avenue and Cedar Avenue, close to the Valley Children’s Stadium, sent two people to the hospital on Thursday morning, October 31, 2024, according to KSEE.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene after initial reports suggested someone might be trapped inside a vehicle. However, upon arrival, firefighters confirmed that no one was pinned. The collision involved a white SUV, which struck the gates of the stadium, and a light-colored sedan resting on the pavement nearby.

Firefighters and paramedics worked quickly to assess the situation and provide aid to those involved. Photos shared by the Fresno Fire Department depict the SUV pressed against the stadium gates, while the sedan sat several feet away, both vehicles showing signs of impact.

Fire crews transported two individuals to a local hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Liability in Single-Vehicle Collisions

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. A personal injury attorney plays a critical role in sorting through these details to help victims and their families get the compensation they deserve.

Once liability is determined, the attorney can negotiate with insurance companies, who often try to reduce payouts. That means having legal representation can be vital to ensure victims receive fair compensation for their loss.
