Strathmore, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, June 21, 2025, a single-vehicle collision left three people injured, including two who were airlifted to a hospital, according to KSEE.
The Tulare County Fire Department reports that the accident took place around 3:00 PM near the intersection of Road 248 and Avenue 200, east of Strathmore, when a vehicle veered off the road and crashed into an orange grove.
Firefighters arrived to find three occupants inside the wrecked vehicle, with two individuals pinned and requiring extrication. Emergency crews utilized hydraulic rescue tools, commonly referred to as the Jaws of Life, to free the trapped victims.
Due to the severity of their injuries, two of the individuals were airlifted to a regional trauma center by helicopter, while the third victim was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Authorities have not released the identities or conditions of the injured parties. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and officials have not yet determined whether speed, impairment, or other factors contributed to the incident.
Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
Passenger Liability
Driver liability insurance covers both those outside the vehicle and passengers inside. While it can be emotionally difficult to file a Personal Injury claim against someone close to the victim, the financial challenges after an accident can be overwhelming.
A skilled personal injury attorney can help families pursue proper compensation for their loss by handling these legal complexities and negotiating with insurance companies, who always try to reduce payouts on claims they cannot deny.
