Wasco, CA – On Saturday afternoon, February 1, 2025, a single-vehicle rollover crash left one person with major injuries, according to KBAK.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident took place around 2:26 PM near railroad tracks in Wasco.

A silver Nissan Sentra rolled over, but the Wasco Police Department confirmed that the vehicle did not end up on the tracks. In response, BNSF Railway stopped all trains in the area as a precautionary measure.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after the crash was reported. CHP confirmed that at least one person sustained major injuries.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, though further details about the victim’s identity and condition have not been released at this time.

Single-Vehicle Collisions and Comparative Negligence

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility.

California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages. A personal injury attorney can play a critical role in sorting through these details to help victims and their families get the compensation they deserve.
