Arden-Arcade, CA – On the late morning of Sunday, June 8, 2025, a two-vehicle collision resulted in four people, including children, being hospitalized with injuries, according to KCRA.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 11:45 AM at the intersection of Marconi Avenue and Lacy Lane.
Investigators say a white car entered the intersection from Morse Avenue and collided with a Cadillac SUV, causing the SUV to overturn.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after and transported four individuals to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that minors were among the injured, though the exact number has not been disclosed.
At this time, officers do not suspect that alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident. The crash remains under investigation.
Failure to Yield
In California, as in other states, “failure to yield” means that you didn’t give the right of way to the right person at the right time. As such, failure to yield or stop is closely related to the “right of way.” When a motorist fails to yield, stop or otherwise avoid an accident and causes a crash, he or she can be held liable for injuries and damages suffered by a victim.
Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence
Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a Personal Injury Claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
