Fresno, CA – On the evening of Saturday, March 1, 2025, a woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Fresno and hospitalized, according to KSEE.

The Fresno Police Department responded to emergency 9-1-1 calls around 8:45 PM regarding a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Jensen and Elm avenues.

Investigators discovered that the woman had been crossing Jensen Avenue outside of the designated crosswalk when she was hit by a westbound vehicle, prompting immediate action from witnesses who called for emergency assistance.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle involved in the incident remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities as they conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Fresno PD continues to look into factors that may have contributed to the incident, including the woman’s location on the road and the vehicle’s speed at the time of the collision. No charges have been filed at this stage, and the investigation remains ongoing.
