Los Banos, CA – On the night of Friday, June 6, 2025, a single-vehicle rollover crash resulted in major injuries to two children and two adults, according to KSEE.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 8:30 PM near the eastbound lanes of Highway 152 at the northbound Interstate Five connector ramp.
According to investigators, a family of five, including two adults and three children believed to be between five and eleven years old, was traveling in a 2024 Toyota Corolla. As the vehicle approached the onramp to northbound I-5, it veered off the west side of the ramp for reasons still under investigation and overturned. Officers noted that the three children in the back seat were not properly restrained, and two of them were ejected during the crash.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and airlifted the adults and one child to a hospital in Modesto. The youngest child, who sustained the most serious injuries, was transported to Valley Children’s Hospital. Authorities reported broken bones among the victims, and all injuries were described as major, though their current conditions have not been released.
The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the collision and whether additional safety violations contributed to the extent of the injuries.
Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
Passenger Liability
Driver liability insurance covers both those outside the vehicle and passengers inside. While it can be emotionally difficult to file a Personal Injury claim against someone close to the victim, the financial challenges after an accident can be overwhelming.
A skilled personal injury attorney can help families pursue proper compensation for their loss by handling these legal complexities and negotiating with insurance companies, who always try to reduce payouts on claims they cannot deny.
