Folsom, CA – In the early morning of Wednesday, May 28, 2025, a two-vehicle collision resulted in one fatality, according to FOX40.

The Folsom Police Department reports that the accident took place around 12:45 AM at the intersection of Golf Links Drive and East Natomas Street.

When officers arrived, they found one of the drivers unconscious and not breathing. Despite life-saving efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second driver remained on site and cooperated with investigators. Authorities reported that no arrests have been made at this time.

The department’s Major Accident Response Team is investigating the cause of the crash. The identity of the deceased will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office following family notification.

Wrongful Death Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility.  Should someone else be found even partly responsible for the death, the family may be able to file a Wrongful Death claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance. This can provide compensation to help cover medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of income to support the family of the deceased.
