Lemoore, CA – A man died late Saturday night May 3, 2025, after a single-vehicle collision involving a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu, according to KSEE.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the crash occurred just before midnight near Houston Avenue, west of 16th Avenue.
CHP officials report that the driver was suspected of speeding when the vehicle veered off the road and onto the north dirt and gravel shoulder. The front of the car struck a wooden communication pole and then collided with a large tree.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
The identity of the deceased has not been released, and the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
