Rocklin, CA – On the early afternoon of Thursday, June 5, 2025, a single-vehicle crash resulted in one death, according to KCRA.
The Rocklin Police Department reports that the accident took place around 2:00 PM near the intersection of Bass Pro Shop Drive and Sierra College Boulevard.
Initial findings indicate that the man, who was driving alone, lost control of his vehicle and veered off the road for reasons that have not yet been determined. The vehicle crashed, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
No passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the incident, and no other vehicles were involved. Officials have not yet released the identity of the deceased man, pending notification of his family.
In response to the collision, authorities closed a portion of Bass Pro Shop Drive near Sierra College Boulevard. The road closure caused traffic delays in the area, and the public was urged to use alternate routes while the scene was cleared.
Police have not reported any evidence of drugs or alcohol as contributing factors. This is an ongoing investigation.
Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
