A man lost his life in a fatal bicycle accident at an intersection in Fresno. Your Central Valley reported that the accident happened around 1:15 p.m. on the afternoon of June 2, 2024.
The accident, according to local officials, took place in Fresno at the intersection of Stanislaus Street and Van Ness Avenue. Police initially arrived on scene when they received calls that a man was struck at the intersection by a driver in a passenger vehicle while riding his bicycle. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and attempted to assist the bicyclist.
Paramedics and several other responders arrived on scene. The bicyclist, identified only as a man in his 50s, sustained major injuries in the crash. He was rushed to a local hospital but was tragically pronounced dead while there. Nobody else suffered harm in the accident.
No further details have been released. Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
