Elk Grove, CA – A 17-year-old driver lost his life Wednesday, November 20, 2024, in a single-vehicle crash on Big Horn Boulevard, according to The Sacramento Bee.
The crash occurred between Amber Creek and Frye Creek Drives, prompting a swift response from the Elk Grove Police Department. Upon arrival, police found the teenage driver had suffered fatal injuries. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash caused Big Horn Boulevard to be closed in both directions for several hours as investigators collected evidence.
Investigators are still working to determine what led to the crash. No additional details about the vehicle or potential factors contributing to the collision have been released at this time.
Single-Vehicle Collisions and Comparative Negligence
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility.
California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages. A personal injury attorney can play a critical role in sorting through these details to help victims and their families get the compensation they deserve.
