Grass Valley, CA – On the afternoon of Thursday, March 20, 2025, a crash near a construction zone involving a car and a Caltrans truck left two people hospitalized, according to FOX40.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident took place around 4:00 PM on Golden Center Freeway, just south of Sacramento Street.

When emergency responders arrived, they found a Honda Accord that had collided with the rear of a Caltrans safety truck, which was stationed on the roadway for work-related purposes.

The driver of the Honda sustained major injuries in the crash and was quickly transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Hospital for treatment. The employee of Caltrans who was inside the truck at the time of the incident was also taken to the same hospital.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by CHP, and authorities are urging all drivers to exercise extra caution and slow down when traveling through construction zones.

Personal Injury Claims

When the actions of reckless drivers cause others to be injured, the cost of recovery should not fall on their victims. Filing a Personal Injury Claim with the at-fault party’s insurance can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
