Sacramento, CA – A crash involving a work truck on northbound Highway 99 left one injured and caused significant delays early Wednesday morning, January 15, 2025, according to CBS13.

The incident occurred just after 6 AM near the Calvine Road offramp, when the truck collided with a wall, sending debris across the roadway.

Despite the violent nature of the crash, emergency crews confirmed that the driver’s injuries were not life-threatening.

As responders cleared the scene, traffic on northbound Highway 99 backed up to Elk Grove Boulevard.

Authorities have not yet determined what factors led to the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.

Single-Vehicle Collisions and Comparative Negligence

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility.

California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages. A personal injury attorney can play a critical role in sorting through these details to help victims and their families get the compensation they deserve.
