A DUI suspect was arrested after one person was killed and multiple were injured in a Fresno accident. According to Your Central Valley, the accident involved three vehicles and occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 41 and Manning Avenue on May 18, 2024.
Authorities first responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. just south of Easton. Upon arrival, they discovered that a driver was traveling north in a Ford F-250 and slammed into the back of a Nissan Sentra. The Sentra was pushed forward into the back of a Chevrolet Camaro.
When paramedics arrived on scene, they found that the driver of the Sentra was tragically deceased due to their injuries. She has since been identified as a 65-year-old from Texas. Her husband and passenger, a 69-year-old, was seriously injured and also hospitalized. Paramedics also took the 31-year-old male driver of the Camaro and the 54-year-old male driver of the F-250 to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
After being treated at the hospital, the driver of the F-250 was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
No further details have been released at this time. Fresno California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
