San Luis Obispo, CA – On the night of Monday, June 9, 2025, a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision resulted in moderate injuries to an unidentified pedestrian, according to The San Luis Obispo Tribune.
The San Luis Obispo Police Department reports that the accident took place around 11:15 PM near Santa Rosa Street, mid-block in the vicinity of Taco de Mexico.
Authorities stated that the pedestrian was crossing Santa Rosa Street outside of a marked crosswalk when a vehicle traveling northbound struck the individual. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment. Officials described the injuries as moderate but not life-threatening.
Photographs released by police show visible damage to the vehicle, including a torn-off passenger side mirror and a dent on the front passenger-side fender. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities said that impairment is not suspected as a contributing factor in the incident.
