Sacramento, CA – On the evening of Sunday, October 5, 2025, a single-vehicle crash sent an adult male victim to the hospital with injuries, according to FOX40.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred around 9:45 PM at 10221 Jackson Road. Firefighters from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District were dispatched for a vehicle accident involving extraction.

When emergency crews arrived, they found a pickup truck with one adult male trapped inside. Firefighters extricated the victim and transported him to a local hospital. Authorities have not released details regarding the extent of his injuries.

The CHP temporarily closed Jackson Road in both directions to allow officers to investigate the crash. Officials have not determined the cause of the collision, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Single-Vehicle Collisions

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
