Multi-Vehicle Crash at US-50, Folsom Blvd Causes Major Injuries
Published:

Sacramento, CA – On the afternoon of Wednesday, February 25, 2026, a multi-vehicle crash resulted in major injuries, according to FOX40.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 4:38 PM on eastbound US 50 at Folsom Boulevard.

Authorities stated that three to four vehicles were involved in the collision, which blocked the number three and number four lanes during the initial emergency response. First responders secured the scene and provided medical assessment and treatment to the injured parties. Officials confirmed that while injuries were classified as major, none were considered life-threatening at the time of the report.

The lane closures caused temporary traffic disruptions as investigators documented the scene and worked to determine the sequence of events leading up to the crash.

By approximately 5:00 PM, all lanes were reopened to motorists following the completion of the preliminary on-scene investigation. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a Personal Injury Claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
