Dixon, CA – On the morning of Sunday, August 10, 2025, a motorcycle crash at a motocross track resulted in the death of the rider, according to FOX40.

The Vacaville Fire Protection District reports that the incident occurred around 10:00 AM at Argyll MX Park, located in Dixon.

Emergency crews responded to reports of the crash and found the rider unconscious in a pond adjacent to the motocross track. The rider was above water but unresponsive when located by an AMR Basic Life Support ambulance team.

Firefighters and paramedics worked to recover the rider from the pond and immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation efforts. Additional medical personnel from Vacaville City Ambulance arrived on the scene to assist in continuing life-saving procedures.

Despite the extensive resuscitation efforts by emergency responders, the rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

Wrongful Death Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility.  Should someone else be found even partly responsible for the death, the family may be able to file a Wrongful Death claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance. This can provide compensation to help cover medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of income to support the family of the deceased.
