Sacramento, CA – A crash created major delays for morning drivers on westbound Highway 50 on Thursday, September 11, 2025, according to KCRA.

The collision occurred in the area of Stockton Boulevard during the early commute hours.

Traffic slowed to a near standstill, and vehicles in several lanes struggled to move forward as congestion stretched for miles. Drivers attempting to get to work or school faced long waits, and authorities urged motorists to take alternate routes to avoid the bottleneck.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and began assisting those involved. Initial reports indicated that at least one person suffered injuries, but officials have not yet confirmed how many people were hurt or how serious the injuries may be.

CHP officers stayed on scene to manage traffic and keep lanes as clear as possible while the investigation continued.

At this time, investigators have not determined what caused the crash, and it remains unclear whether speed, distracted driving, or another factor contributed.

Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a Personal Injury Claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
