Modesto, CA – On the night of Monday, February 24, 2025, a woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash after her car collided with an oak tree, according to The Modesto Bee.
The Modesto Police Department reports that the accident took place around 11:45 PM on the 1000 block of River Road.
Officers responded after receiving reports of a crash involving a single vehicle. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a white vehicle that had crashed into a large oak tree. The driver, an adult woman, was found unresponsive inside the vehicle. Emergency personnel attempted to assess her condition, but she was pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the department’s Traffic Safety Unit. Officials have not released further details regarding possible contributing factors, such as speed or impairment.
