Oildale, CA – In the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 8, 2025, a male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Roberts Lane near Plymouth Avenue, according to KGET.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place shortly after 1:00 AM.
Investigators have stated that initial evidence suggests a Honda traveling east on Roberts Lane struck a pedestrian who was walking in the eastbound lanes outside of a marked crosswalk. The driver of the Honda fled the scene without stopping to help.
Emergency responders arrived within minutes, but the man died at the scene from his injuries. CHP officers searched the area and later located the suspected vehicle. The Honda was seized as evidence, but the driver was not found.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the hit-and-run. They ask anyone with information about the crash or the driver’s location to contact the California Highway Patrol.
