Porterville, CA – On the Wednesday afternoon of July 30, 2025, a single-vehicle logging truck crash resulted in fatal injuries, according to KSEE.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP)reports that the accident took place around 2:00 PM near Hot Springs Road east of Old Control Road in Tulare County, southeast of Porterville, between Highway 190 and Highway 155.
Officials say a 28-year-old man from Strathmore was driving a 2011 Freightliner logging truck loaded with logs westbound on Hot Springs Road when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned. Emergency responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene. The identity of the driver has not been officially released.
The investigation remains ongoing as officers continue to gather information about the circumstances leading to the crash.
