Fresno, CA – On the night of Tuesday, March 25, 2025, a bicyclist was hospitalized following a collision with a vehicle in Fresno, according to KSEE.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 9:30 PM at the intersection of Clinton and Maroa Avenues.
According to investigators, the bicyclist was traveling through the intersection when the crash occurred. Preliminary findings suggest the cyclist may have run a red light, while the driver had a green signal. The impact left the rider injured, though the extent of those injuries has not been disclosed.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Officers do not believe impairment by drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
Emergency medical personnel transported the bicyclist to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Officials confirmed the cyclist was conscious and breathing at the time of transport, but there have been no updates on their current condition.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
Comparative Liability
Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Liability rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a personal injury claim with the responsible party’s insurance.
