Fresno, CA – The Fresno Bee reports that around 2 AM on Sunday, January 28, 2024, a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Clinton and Marks Avenues resulted in two fatalities.

According to the initial investigation, the truck was traveling west on Clinton when it collided with a southbound car on Marks. The driver of the car, a man in his 60s, and the truck driver, a 40-year-old man, were pronounced dead at the scene, while a third person sustained minor injuries.

It remains uncertain whether alcohol played a role in the incident.

Wrongful Death Claims

Once details of an accident like this become clear, families of the deceased may have grounds to file a wrongful death claim with the insurance provider of the at-fault driver. A wrongful death claim can be filed even if criminal charges are never brought to bear, and it can help grieving families by relieving the financial burdens of medical expenses, burial costs, and the loss of income to support any dependents of the deceased.

Insurance companies will seek to minimize the payout of any claim they cannot deny, however, which is one of the reasons that the services of a good personal injury attorney can prove so valuable for those seeking just compensation for the loss of their loved ones.
