Rollover Crash Injures 2 Adults, 6 Children in Modesto

Modesto, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, June 6, 2026, a single-vehicle rollover collision left eight people hospitalized, including six children, according to FOX40.

The Modesto Fire Department reports that the accident took place around 4:20 PM.

Authorities said the vehicle was occupied by two adults and six others between the ages of five and 19. All eight occupants were able to exit either on their own or with the assistance of bystanders prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. They were transported to local hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

No additional details regarding the circumstances of the collision or the identities of those involved had been released at the time of reporting. The investigation remains ongoing.

Passenger Liability

A driver’s liability coverage extends to those inside their vehicle as well as outside. In many cases, those passengers are someone who knows the driver personally. So, when a passenger is injured and their driver is found liable, they may feel reluctant to file a claim against the driver’s insurance.

In many cases, however, a personal injury claim may be required for an insurer to offer a fair settlement that covers the injured party’s medical expenses, pain and suffering, and other damages related to the accident. A personal injury attorney can facilitate this process and, as a neutral third party, help navigate any emotional complexities that may arise.
