Hwy 50, Silva Valley Pkwy Crash Kills Driver in El Dorado Hills

El Dorado Hills, CA – In the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 11, 2026, a solo-vehicle crash claimed the life of an unidentified woman after her vehicle struck a pole along westbound Highway 50, according to KCRA, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.

The CHP reports that the accident occurred between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM near the Silva Valley Parkway off-ramp.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:51 AM and located a vehicle with significant damage consistent with a collision into a fixed object. The woman, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the woman has not yet been identified as officials work to locate identification and notify next of kin. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Single-Vehicle Collisions

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages through a Wrongful Death Claim.
