Orosi, CA – On the evening of Tuesday, February 3, 2026, an unidentified man suffered major injuries after being ejected from an SUV during a single-vehicle crash, according to KSEE.

California Highway Patrol officials report that the collision occurred at approximately 4:50 PM on Highway 63, just south of Avenue 444. Officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of a rollover crash involving an SUV.

When officers arrived, they located the male driver lying in the roadway. Investigators determined that he had been ejected from the vehicle after the SUV left the roadway for reasons still to be determined.

Emergency medical personnel responded and provided treatment at the scene. The man was then transported to a nearby hospital for care of major injuries.

The roadway was secured while officers conducted a preliminary investigation and ensured the scene was safe.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, although CHP indicated that speed is believed to have been a contributing factor.

Single-Vehicle Collisions

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages through a Personal Injury Claim.
