Driver Injured in Crash on Hall Rd near Mount Madonna in Watsonville

Watsonville, CA – On the afternoon of Tuesday, January 6, 2026, a 63-year-old man was injured after a single-vehicle pickup truck crash near Mount Madonna, according to KSBW.

The California Highway Patrol reports the collision occurred on Hall Road when a GMC pickup truck left the roadway for reasons that have not yet been determined. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene and located the vehicle overturned.

Authorities said the driver was found in medical distress and was provided lifesaving measures, including CPR, at the scene. The man was then transported to a local hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment. His current condition has not been released.

Officers secured the area while emergency personnel rendered aid and documented the scene. The roadway remained partially affected as responders worked to ensure safety and assess the circumstances of the crash.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. CHP stated that no additional vehicles were involved and that further details will be released as the investigation continues.

Single-Vehicle Collisions

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
