Bakersfield, CA – A pedestrian was left in critical condition after being struck by a car in east Bakersfield, on Thursday, June 20, 2024, according to KBAK. The collision occurred around 9:51 PM in the 200 block of South Brown Street.
The police report indicates that a female driver was traveling northbound when she hit a male pedestrian, who was in the roadway. The Bakersfield Police Department has stated that the driver cooperated fully with the police investigation.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was found to be in critical condition. The circumstances of the accident are still under investigation, but the police have stated that alcohol and drugs are not believed to be contributing factors.
