Bicycle Accident Dangers in Fresno
The latest statistics were taken in 2022 showing how prevalent bicycle accidents are in Fresno. In 2022, the Transportation Injury Mapping System (TIMS) in California showed that 87 bicycle accidents happened in all of Fresno. Out of these accidents, seven victims lost their lives and 80 people were injured. Approximately 8% of these accidents occurred on state highways and the rest happened elsewhere in Fresno.
These shocking statistics show that more must be done to protect bicyclists who navigate our roads. Drivers are expected to always pay close attention to the roads around them but, unfortunately, this does not always happen. In these cases, a driver could be held liable for the harm that they have caused a cyclist.
